Connecting with college and university admissions professionals and professors allows them to express their interests and talents beyond what’s offered by the traditional application process.

Kruted eliminates the need for handwritten questionnaires. Now students can create a profile that provides educational consultants with a deeper and broader view of their clients.

Sharing Profiles

All of your networking comes together. Touring schools and connecting with faculty and staff has never been more streamlined. Based on schools they search, students can identify you by your university connections as a best resource to guide them through the admissions process. Your network expands with minimal effort on your part.

Communications

Nudge, comment and message students to help them improve their profile. Cheer them on for their recent achievements, remind them of important dates and help them with corrections to their profile. Students can schedule appointments with you using the calendar. Your billing is now simple and easy.

Students can begin developing their profiles as early as their freshman year of high school. As a student grows, so will their profile. Potentially, a coach can see four years of progress and accomplishments. Videos, audio clips, essays, GPA, scores and stats allow a coach to access a student athlete in totality.

Help Keep Students on Track

As you discover a potential recruit, now you can stay informed on how their final year of high school is progressing. Are they still driven, do they need a nudge or reminder to keep them on track to become the newest student athlete at your university?

Expand Your Network

You can connect with members of each student's support network, such as high school or private coaches. You can grow and develop relationships with coaches across the country to help you evolve your program.

Scholarship Administrators

Promote Your Scholarship

Scholarship Administrators can create a profile to promote their scholarship and search for potential recipients.

Our funding search tool helps students identify all the scholarships that they meet the criteria for and are interested in. Students can choose to follow your scholarship and connect with the administrator.

Keep Students on Track

Students who follow your scholarship or are connected to you receive reminders and alerts regarding deadlines and requirements. You can also reach out and nudge students and encourage them to apply to a particular scholarship that you manage.

Don't let your scholarship go unrewarded! Make sure that the most qualified and deserving students receive the scholarships that you manage.

Student Support

Defining Student Support

Parents, guardians, high school teachers, coaches, and administrators along with private tutors, clubs, private organizations and camps all help shape a student and define their future.

Network members can join, build profiles, search schools and scholarships and non-student profiles. They can connect with students who have extended them an invitation to do so. As a safety feature, permission to view a student profile is by invitation only. Parents and guardians have “view only” access to a student profile, to review their child's profile and nudge as needed.

Supporting Students

Student Support members connected to a student can review, nudge, like, message and introduce students to other people in their network. They can also provide endorsements.

Self-Promotion

Your profile includes a custom design, photo, bio and contact information along with a snapshot of your Kruted network. Only connected Kruted members can see your active connections by name. Students and other Kruted members can search our Kruted support network, offering you the opportunity to promote yourself as a student resource.

What is a Kruted Student Ambassador?

Kruted was designed by students for students. It provides the tools to create a free, multimedia, multidimensional educational profile to express their passions, talents and experiences. Everything from test scores and GPA to essays and art portfolios can live on one platform that will grow with the student during their middle and high school years. Besides being an easy way to track activities and progress, it’s a place to gather endorsements from employers, teachers and community leaders. The platform is searchable, so colleges will be able to find students who are a good match for their programs. Coming soon – a scholarship database!

We are looking for students who are passionate about what we do and the platform that we’ve built and want to share Kruted with the world. As a Student Ambassador, you’ll create awareness and buzz about Kruted, encourage others to participate and generate ideas to improve the Kruted experience for yourself and others.

  1. If you haven’t done so already, visit www.app.kruted.com to create a profile. Make sure to include a picture, bio, gpa, test scores (if applicable), at least 1 activity (with at least 1 photo or video), family information and photos on your photo strip.
  2. Connect with Megan Johnson, our Student Ambassador Liaison, via Kruted (megan@kruted.com). By connecting with Megan, you agree to have your profile viewed by a Kruted member.
  3. Megan will review your profile and reach out to get a better understanding of your interest in the Ambassador program. Be creative with your answers! We want to see your personality, learn why you love the site and hear your ideas for how you’ll help build the network.
  4. Once approved, we’ll add an Ambassador banner and badge to your profile and pop a little something in the snail mail to you.
  5. You’re on your way! To help make it easy to recruit students to join Kruted, you’ll receive an individualized link to share on social and a one-click invite to send to friends directly from your Kruted profile.
  6. We’ll track your progress in recruiting students and send additional rewards as you level up.

Welcome to Kruted. Please read on to learn the rules and restrictions that govern your use of Kruted.com and all associated products, services and applications or “Services”. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding these terms or services, please contact us at info@kruted.com. These Terms of Use or “Terms” are a binding contract between you and Armstand Inc. the parent company of Kruted.com or “Us”, and “We”. You must agree to and accept all of the Terms, without this agreement, you will not have access to use the Services. Your use of the Services in any way means that you agree to all of these Terms, and these Terms will remain in effect while you use the Services. These Terms include the provisions in this document, as well as those in the Privacy Policy and Copyright Dispute Policy.

Things change including Terms

We are constantly trying to improve our Services, so these Terms may need to change along with the Services. We reserve the right to change the Terms at any time, but if we do, we will bring it to your attention through notifications including email, placing a notice on Kruted.com and/or by text, message, notification and nudge. The new terms will be distinguishable by the effective terms date at the top of the document. You will be asked to accept these new terms through our site.

If you don’t agree with our new Terms, unfortunately, that means you will no longer be able to use the Services. If you use the Services in any way after a change to the Terms is effective, that means you agree to all of the changes.

Except for changes by us as described here, no other amendment or modification of these Terms will be effective unless in writing and signed by both you and us.

Privacy

Your privacy and security comes first with our site and all of our updates. Kruted follows all of the current rules and regulations established by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and their enforcement of COPPA (Child Online Privacy Protection Act) and CalOPPA (California Online Privacy Protection Act) in addition we meet the high standard for data privacy introduced by the new European data protection law known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which took effect in May 2018. What is Kruted.com?

Kruted provides students a platform to create a multimedia and multidimensional educational profile to express their passions, talents and experiences.This profile allows students the ability to connect and network for better opportunities. This platform allows students to upload pictures, videos, GPA, scores, sports stats, audio clips,essays and documents in a format that is easy, intuitive and professional.

You may sign up for an account and identify your name, school, email and select a password. You may not select a name that you don’t have the right to use, or another person’s name with the intent to impersonate that person. You may not transfer your account to anyone else. You represent and warrant that you are of legal age to form a binding contract (or if not, you’ve received your parent’s or guardian’s permission to use the Services and gotten your parent or guardian to agree to these Terms on your behalf). If you’re agreeing to these Terms on behalf of an organization or entity, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to agree to these Terms on that organization or entity’s behalf and bind them to these Terms (in which case, the references to “you” and “your” in these Terms, except for in this sentence, refer to that organization or entity).

You will only use the Services in a manner that complies with all laws that apply to you. If your use of the Services is prohibited by applicable laws, then you aren’t authorized to use the Services. We can’t and won’t be responsible for your using the Services in a way that breaks the law.

You will not share your account or password with anyone, and you must protect the security of your account and your password. You’re responsible for any activity associated with your account.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to create a text hyperlink for noncommercial purposes, provided such link does not portray Kruted or any of its products and services in a false, misleading, derogatory or otherwise defamatory manner and provided further that the linking site does not contain any adult or illegal material or any material that is deemed offensive, harassing or otherwise objectionable. This limited right may be revoked at any time. You may not use a Kruted logo or other proprietary graphic of Kruted to link to the Services without the express written permission of Kruted. Further, you may not use, frame or utilize framing techniques to enclose the Kruted trademark, logo or other proprietary information, including the images found in the Services, the content of any text or the layout/design of any page or form contained on a page on the Services without our express written consent.

Your use of the Services is subject to the following additional restrictions:

You represent, warrant, and agree that you will not contribute any Content or User Submission (each of those terms is defined below) or otherwise use the Services or interact with the Services in a manner that:

  1. Infringes or violates the intellectual property rights or any other rights of anyone else (including Kruted);
  2. Violates any law or regulation, including any applicable export control laws;
  3. Is harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable;
  4. Jeopardizes the security of your Kruted account or anyone else’s (such as allowing someone else to log in to the Services as you);
  5. Attempts, in any manner, to obtain the password, account, or other security information from any other user;
  6. Violates the security of any computer network, or cracks any passwords or security encryption codes;
  7. Runs Maillist, Listserv, any form of auto-responder or “spam” on the Services, or any processes that run or are activated while you are not logged into the Services, or that otherwise interfere with the proper working of the Services (including by placing an unreasonable load on the Services’ infrastructure);
  8. “Crawls,” “scrapes,” or “spiders” any page, data, or portion of or relating to the Services or Content (through use of manual or automated means);
  9. Copies or stores any significant portion of the Content;
  10. Decompiled, reverse engineered, or otherwise attempts to obtain the source code or underlying ideas or information of or relating to the Services.

A violation of any of the foregoing is grounds for termination of your right to use or access the Services.

Kruted and Your Rights.

The materials displayed or performed or available on or through the Services, including, but not limited to, text, graphics, data, articles, photos, images, illustrations, User Submissions, and so forth (all of the foregoing, the “Content”) are protected by copyright and/or other intellectual property laws. You promise to abide by all copyright notices, trademark rules, information, and restrictions contained in any Content you access through the Services, and you won’t use, copy, reproduce, modify, translate, publish, broadcast, transmit, distribute, perform, upload, display, license, sell or otherwise exploit for any purpose any Content not owned by you, (i) without the prior consent of the owner of that Content or (ii) in a way that violates someone else’s (including our) rights.

You understand that Kruted owns the Services. You won’t modify, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale of, reproduce (except as expressly provided in this Section), create derivative works based on, or otherwise exploit any of the Services. The Services may allow you to copy or download certain Content; please remember that just because this functionality exists, doesn’t mean that all the restrictions above don’t apply – they do!

Do I have to grant any licenses to Kruted or to other users?

Anything you post, upload, share, store, or otherwise provide through the Services is your “User Submission.” You own your User Submissions (except to the extent your User Submissions contain content owned by a third party) and you can control how your User Submissions are shared through your privacy and application settings as further described below. If you submit User Submissions that contain Content you do not have the right to use or share, we may remove it in accordance with our Copyright Dispute Policy described below. Some User Submissions are viewable by other users. In order to display your User Submissions on the Services, and to allow other users to enjoy them (where applicable), you grant us certain rights in those User Submissions. Please note that all of the following licenses are subject to our Privacy Policy to the extent they relate to User Submissions that are also your personally-identifiable information.

For all User Submissions, you hereby grant Kruted a license to translate, modify (for technical purposes, for example making sure your content is viewable on a smartphone as well as a computer) and reproduce and otherwise act with respect to such User Submissions, in each case to enable us to operate the Services, as described in more detail below. This is a license only – your ownership in User Submissions is not affected.

If you share a User Submission only in a manner that only certain specified users can view (for example, a private message to one or more other users) (a “Limited Audience User Submission”), then you grant Kruted the licenses above, as well as a license to display, perform, and distribute your Limited Audience User Submission for the sole purpose of making that Limited Audience User Submission accessible to such other specified users, and providing the Services necessary to do so. Also, you grant such other specified users a license to access that Limited Audience User Submission, and to use and exercise all rights in it, as permitted by the functionality of the Services.

If you share a User Submission publicly on the Services and/or in a manner that more than just you or certain specified users can view, or if you provide us (in a direct email or otherwise) with any feedback, suggestions, improvements, enhancements, and/or feature requests relating to the Services (each of the foregoing, a “Public User Submission”), then you grant Kruted the licenses above, as well as a license to display, perform, and distribute your Public User Submission for the purpose of making that Public User Submission accessible to all approved Kruted users and providing the Services necessary to do so, as well as all other rights necessary to use and exercise all rights in that Public User Submission in connection with the Services and/or otherwise in connection with Kruted business for any purpose, provided that Kruted will try to notify you if it uses your Public User Submission for any reason other than displaying it on the Services. Also, you grant all other users of the Services a license to access that Public User Submission, and to use and exercise all rights in it, as permitted by the functionality of the Services.

You agree that the licenses you grant are royalty-free, perpetual, sublicensable, irrevocable, and worldwide, provided that when you delete your Kruted account, we will stop displaying your User Submissions (other than Public User Submissions, which may remain fully available) to other users (if applicable), but you understand and agree that it may not be possible to completely delete that content from Kruted’s records, and that your User Submissions may remain viewable elsewhere to the extent that they were copied or stored by other users.

Finally, you understand and agree that Kruted, in performing the required technical steps to provide the Services to our users (including you), may need to make changes to your User Submissions to conform and adapt those User Submissions to the technical requirements of connecting networks, devices, services, or media, and the foregoing licenses include the rights to do so.

Who is responsible for what I see and do on the Services?

Any information or content publicly posted or privately transmitted through the Services is the sole responsibility of the person from whom such content originated, and you access all such information and content at your own risk, and we aren’t liable for any errors or omissions in that information or content or for any damages or loss you might suffer in connection with it. Kruted has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, accuracy, privacy policies, or practices of or opinions expressed in any third party websites or by any third party that you interact with through the Services. In addition, Kruted will not and cannot monitor, verify, censor or edit the content of any third party site or service. By using the Services, you release and hold us harmless from any and all liability arising from your use of any third party website or service.

Your interactions with organizations and/or individuals found on or through the Services, including any advertisements, promotions, or the payment and delivery of goods or services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are solely between you and such organizations and/or individuals. You should make whatever investigation you feel necessary or appropriate before proceeding with any online or offline transaction with any of these third parties. You agree that Kruted shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of any such dealings or as the result of the presence of non-Kruted advertisers or third party information on the Services.

If there is a dispute between participants on this site, or between users and any third party, you agree that Kruted is under no obligation to become involved. In the event that you have a dispute with one or more other users, you release Kruted, its officers, employees, agents, and successors from claims, demands, and damages of every kind or nature, known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed, arising out of or in any way related to such disputes and/or our Services. If you are a California resident, you shall and hereby do waive California Civil Code Section 1542, which says: "A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release, which, if known by him or her must have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor."

Changes in Kruted Services.

We’re always trying to improve the Services, so they may change over time. We may suspend or discontinue any part of the Services, or we may introduce new features or impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts or all of the Services. We’ll try to give you notice when we make a material change to the Services that would adversely affect you, but this isn’t always practical. Similarly, we reserve the right to remove any Content from the Services at any time, for any reason (including, but not limited to, if someone alleges you contributed that Content in violation of these Terms), in our sole discretion, and without notice.

What if I stop using Kruted?

You’re free to do that at any time, by contacting us at info@kruted.com; please refer to our Privacy Policy, as well as the licenses above, to understand how we treat information you provide to us after you have stopped using our Services.

Kruted is also free to terminate (or suspend access to) your use of the Services or your account, for any reason in our discretion, including your breach of these Terms. Kruted has the sole right to decide whether you are in violation of any of the restrictions set forth in these Terms.

Account termination may result in destruction of any Content associated with your account, so keep that in mind before you decide to terminate your account.

If you have deleted your account by mistake, contact us immediately at info@kruted.com – we will try to help, but unfortunately, we can’t promise that we can recover or restore anything.

Provisions that, by their nature, should survive termination of these Terms shall survive termination. By way of example, all of the following will survive termination: any obligation you have to pay us or indemnify us, any limitations on our liability, any terms regarding ownership or intellectual property rights, and terms regarding disputes between us.

  9. Both you and Kruted acknowledge and agree that, in your use of the Application, you will comply with any applicable third party terms of agreement which may affect or be affected by such use;

Both you and Kruted acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as the third party beneficiary hereof.

The services and content are provided by Kruted (and its licensors and suppliers) on an “as-is” basis, without warranties or any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that use of the services will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, under no circumstances and under no legal theory (including, without limitation, tort, contract, strict liability, or otherwise) shall Kruted (or its licensors or suppliers) be liable to you or to any other person for (a) any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind, including damages for lost profits, loss of goodwill, work stoppage, accuracy of results, or computer failure or malfunction, or (b) any amount, in the aggregate, in excess of the greater of (i) $100 or (ii) the amounts paid by you to kruted in connection with the services in the twelve (12) month period preceding this applicable claim, or (iii) any matter beyond our reasonable control. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitation and exclusions may not apply to you.

INDEMNITY

To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold Kruted, its affiliates, officers, agents, employees, partners, directors, independent contractors, service providers, and consultants harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages (actual and consequential), losses and expenses (including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or in any way related to any third party claims relating to (a) your use of the Services (including any actions taken by a third party using your account), and (b) your violation of these Terms. In the event of such a claim, suit, or action (“Claim”), we will attempt to provide notice of the Claim to the contact information we have for your account (provided that failure to deliver such notice shall not eliminate or reduce your indemnification obligations hereunder). Assignment. You may not assign, delegate or transfer these Terms or your rights or obligations hereunder, or your Services account, in any way (by operation of law or otherwise) without Kruted’s prior written consent. DISPUTE AND CHOICE OF LAW

You will resolve any claim, cause of action or dispute you have with Kruted arising out of or relating to these Terms or Kruted exclusively in the U.S. District Court for North Carolina or a state court located in Orange County, North Caroina and you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purpose of litigating all such claims. The laws of the State of North Carolina will govern these Terms, as well as any claim that might arise between you and us, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

MISCELLANEOUS

You will be responsible for paying, withholding, filing, and reporting all taxes, duties, and other governmental assessments associated with your activity in connection with the Services, provided that Kruted may, in its sole discretion, do any of the foregoing on your behalf or for itself as it sees fit. The failure of either you or us to exercise, in any way, any right herein shall not be deemed a waiver of any further rights hereunder. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated, to the minimum extent necessary, so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable. You and Kruted agree that these Terms are the complete and exclusive statement of the mutual understanding between you and Kruted, and that it supersedes and cancels all previous written and oral agreements, communications and other understandings relating to the subject matter of these Terms. You hereby acknowledge and agree that you are not an employee, agent, partner, or joint venture of Kruted, and you do not have any authority of any kind to bind Kruted in any respect whatsoever. Except as expressly set forth in the section above regarding the Apple Application, you and Kruted agree there are no third party beneficiaries intended under these Terms.

What is Kruted?

Kruted is a free, digital platform on which students can display not only their grades and scores but their talents, hobbies and accomplishments to make the college application process more personal. Students can use Kruted to tell their story through a multimedia profile, build connections with high school counselors, college admissions officers, coaches and scholarship administrators, and be discovered by their dream school.

How much does it cost to use Kruted?

Currently, Kruted is FREE for everyone. Students are at the heart of everything we do; therefore, we are committed to always keeping Kruted FREE for students.

Who can create a Kruted profile?

Kruted is for students, guidance counselors (both school-based and independent), admissions officers, high school and college coaches, professors, scholarship administrators and anyone else, like parents, non-profit support staff and leaders of student clubs and organizations who support students and root for their success.

How do I create a profile?

Please note that you must be 13 years old to create a Kruted profile. Creating a profile takes only a minute or two. Click on the Sign Up for Free button at the top of the homepage and then select the button that accurately corresponds to the type of profile you are creating (student, admissions, counselor, professor, coach, scholarship admin or student support). Fill in your name and email and choose a password. Provide Personal Information as needed and then activate your Kruted account by checking your email.

How do I edit my profile?

For all profile types: start by making sure that Edit Mode is toggled ON. You can add a profile picture and write a short bio.

For Students: A great first step is to view our design tour. Next, start by making sure that Edit Mode is toggled ON. You can add a profile picture, write a quick intro, add activities, academics, essays, transcripts and family information.

Students

Kruted helps students track all of their accomplishments and achievements in high school in a personalized, digital resume. With a Kruted profile, students can build connections, identify best fit schools and scholarship opportunities and eventually, apply to college.

Why should I personalize my profile?

Everyone is unique and your profile should be too. Let your Kruted profile show your personality and highlight your achievements with a headshot, background image or video, photo strips, activities and academics. By including your activities, grades and test scores, college admissions officers, professors and coaches can find and view your profile.

Why should I save essays to my profile?

Keeping track of important documents can be difficult. Save all of your essays and project work in one space that will allow you to showcase your hard work.

Why should I request endorsements?

Endorsements from your existing network (coaches, teacher, club leaders, etc.) highlight your strengths and accomplishments. They support and add credibility to the talents and skills that you have referenced in your Kruted profile.

How do I upload my transcript?

You can upload a PDF version of your transcript. Coming soon – integration with PowerSchool.

Why should I include information about my family?

Adding family information will allow you to do a more targeted University or Scholarship search and allow our Scholarship Wizard to identify and suggest scholarships that may be a fit based on your family’s unique profile.

Can I apply to college using my Kruted profile?

This feature is coming soon. In the meantime, you can provide a link to your Kruted profile on your resume or other application materials.

Guidance Counselors

With Kruted, counselors can connect and message with their students. Student profiles give counselors easy access to view student accomplishments (no need to ask for brag sheets!) which is helpful for writing recommendations and keeping students on track for reaching their post-secondary goals. Counselors can also connect and message with others involved in college process: admissions officers, professors, coaches and more.

With Kruted, parents, club and student organization staff, high school coaches, non-profit support staff and others can connect with their students, provide endorsements, build connections with others involved in the high school/college process, and support students on their journey to identifying their best fit college or university.

Can I search Kruted for students?

No, you can only connect with students for whom you have an email address. You can send an invitation by clicking on Members -> My Students -> ->; send invite from Kruted using their email address Alternatively, you can get a shareable link to send via separate email or to use on social media.

Security

Footer Message in Kruted Emails

In our email messages to you, we include a footer message with your name and details about your Kruted profile to help you distinguish authentic Kruted emails from "phishing" email messages.

"Phishing" emails often look very similar to legitimate ones, but they likely wouldn't have this personalized information and may also contain links that direct you to malicious sites instead of Kruted.

While the presence of this security footer message alone doesn't guarantee that an email is legitimate, it gives you additional assurance that the email originated from Kruted.

Most "phishing" attacks targeting large mailing lists won't have personalized information. When in doubt, open a new browser window and go directly to app.Kruted.com to check your notifications and verify the connection request, message, like or nudge.

Fraudsters may use a practice called phishing to try to obtain your sensitive data such as usernames and passwords.

If you suspect that you've received a "phishing" email impersonating Kruted, please forward the entire email to support@kruted.com.
